Thermal analysis model in spray transfer of spot MIG welding

  • 摘要: 焊接热过程经典理论不考虑熔滴过渡传入熔池的热量对熔池中流体流动及传热过程的影响,而将MIG与TIG焊接热过程的区别主要体现在电弧功率有效利用系数η的选取上。本文提出了一种处理MIG焊接热过程的新方法,这就是除了考虑电弧热流密度q(r)作用在工件表面上之外,还有熔滴过渡带入熔池的热量△H(r,z)作用在熔池内部,并考虑熔池中流体流动状态对热过程的影响。所建立的MIG传热模型首次从传热学和流体动力学的角度用数值方法模拟出了射流过渡时MIG焊缝的指状熔深。

     

    Abstract: The classical theory of welding thermal process was not concernd with the influence of the heat thansferred into the weld pool by filler metal droplets on fluid-and heat-flow in pools.In the theory,the only difference between MIG and TIG thermal processes is embodied in the selection of welding arc power efficiency.In this paper,a new method has been put forward for the first time to account for heat transfer in MIG spot welding,i.e.,the overheated filler metal droplets deliver their excess heat to the weld pool,besides the same spatial instributions of the heat flux on the free surface as that in TIG welding.It also takes into consideration the effect of thermal convection and fluid flow on thermal proceas.The finger penetration phenomenon in the spray transfer of MIG welding has been numerically simulated with the model given in this paper for the first time from the viewpoint of heat transfer and fluid dynamics.
