Study of microstructure and property in electron beam welded ULCB steel joints

  • 摘要: 为了进一步探索ULCB钢的焊接性能,采用真空电子束穿透焊不同束流强度对14 mm钢板对接接头进行了焊接,通过焊缝形貌比较,束流强度为100 mA时,接头焊缝成形最好,选取该接头做了拉伸、硬度、冲击试验及金相组织分析.结果表明,拉伸试样的断裂区域在母材区,抗拉强度为761 MPa、屈服强度为669 MPa,硬度范围在270~330 HV;冲击试样的断裂区域在热影响区,焊缝区平均冲击功为288 J,热影响区平均冲击功为273 J;接头显微组织中,焊缝区和热影响区产生了α'马氏体相,使焊缝区和热影响区产生相变强化,导致焊接接头的强度和硬度均高于母材.

     

    Abstract: In order to further explore the weld properties of ULCB steel, butt joints of 14 mm steel were welded by vacuum electron beam penetration welding under different beam intensity parameters. By comparing the weld profile, it was found that the best weld joint shape was formed at a beam intensity of 100 mA. Meanwhile, tensile properties, hardness, impact test and microstructure were conducted on the joint at a beam intensity of 100 mA. The results shown that the fracture zone of the tensile specimens was in the base metal zone, the tensile strength was 761 MPa, the yield strength was 669 MPa, and the hardness was range 270~330 HV. The fracture area of impact specimen was in heat affected zone, the average impact energy in weld zone was 288 J, and the average impact energy in heat affected zone was 273 J. It is shown that α' martensite phase occurs in the weld zone and heat affected zone, which resulted in phase transformation strengthening in weld zone and heat affected zone. The strength and hardness of welded joints were higher than those of base metal.
