P-GMAW电源外特性对焊接过程稳定性的影响

Influence of power source output characteristic on stability of P-GMAW process

  • 摘要: 设计了一套具有阶梯外特性的脉冲熔化极气体保护焊(P-GMAW)电源,可根据负载工作点自动选择恒流、恒压、短路或空载特性. 研究了P-GMAW电源外特性对Q235低碳钢焊接过程稳定性的影响. 结果表明,基值为恒压特性时,电弧稳定性差,易熄弧或短路. 基值为恒流特性可减少飞溅及熄弧现象,但不能消除短路倾向. 基值为阶梯外特性,可有效减少甚至消除短路或熄弧现象,焊接过程稳定性好. 采用基值阶梯特性加峰值恒压特性组合时电弧稳定,抗干扰能力强,无飞溅及断弧现象,焊缝成形均匀.

     

    Abstract: A pulsed gas metal arc welding (P-GMAW) power source with stepped external characteristic was developed using a BUCK main circuit topology. The external characteristic was set automatically to be constant current, constant voltage, short circuit or open circuit according to the arc working point. Experiments were carried out on Q235 mild steel to investigate the influence of different output characteristics on P-GMAW process. The results indicated that the arc was lack of stability when applying constant voltage characteristic at background time, making it easy to occur arc extinction or short-circuiting. When constant current characteristic was applied during background time, on the other hand, arc extinguishment and spatters were reduced, but short-circuiting still existed. However, adopting stepped characteristic could effectively decline or even eliminate short-circuiting and arc extinguishment phenomena, resulting in pleasant stability. Using stepped characteristic at background time and constant voltage characteristic at peak time, the arc had strong interference resistant capability, and the welding process is most stable among the experiments resulting in a uniform weld appearance without any spatter and arc interruption.
