Formation characteristics of Ni/Ti intermetallics through annealing of layered Ni/Ti

  • 摘要: 选择Ni和Ti粉末及其机械合金化粉末制备Ni/Ti扩散偶,利用扫描电镜和X射线衍射等手段研究了Ni/Ti扩散偶在固相热处理作用下金属间化合物的形成及生长规律.随着热处理温度的提高,Ni3Ti,Ti2Ni和NiTi金属间化合物的数量增加明显;随热处理保温时间的增加,NiTi金属间化合物呈抛物线规律生长,而对Ni3Ti和Ti2Ni的生长影响不大.结果表明,金属间化合物在形成过程中,Ni3Ti和Ti2Ni优先形成,达到一定厚度后,NiTi金属间化合物开始形成并快速增长.

     

    Abstract: Ni/Ti diffusion couples were prepared by cold spraying with Ni and Ti powders and mechanically alloyed Ni/Ti alloy powders.The formation and growth characteristics of Ni/Ti intermetallics within Ni/Ti during solid state diffusion treatment were investigated by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD).It was found that the thicknesses of Ni3Ti,NiTi and Ti2Ni intermetallic compounds layers increased with annealing temperature.The growth of TiNi layer followed the parabolic law with annealing time while the thicknesses of Ti2Ni or Ni3Ti layers were kept constant at certain annealing temperature.The results suggest that the formation and then rapid growth of TiNi intermetallic take place after Ni3Ti and Ti2Ni intermetallic compounds grow to certain thicknesses.
