Abstract:
Using a digital high-speed video analyzer and an arc shadow-graphing system based on a laser source and related optical system the phenomenon of metal transfer of lime titania type twin electrode is investi gated. It was shown that the mode of metal transfer consists of coarse and thin globular flux wall guided transfer, explosive transfer and spray transfer, of which thin globular flux wall guided transfer dominates. The core span of twin electrode, the current of. electric arc and gravity coefficient of coating affect sleeve shape and then metal transfer behavior. The transition frequency increases with the decrease of core span of twin electrode. the increase of arc current and gravity coefficient of coating.
