Processing Property of Variable Polarity power in TIG Arc Welding of Aluminium Alloys

摘要: 对变极性电源在铝合金TIG焊中工艺特点进行了研究,探讨了影响阴极清理作用、钨极端头烧损的各种因素及其作用规律。研究表明变极性电源由于可调规范参数多、变化范围大、通过控制电源的输出电流波形,可以有效地控制电弧的形态,增大钨极为正半波的电流幅值,减少其时间,使电弧由扩散形变为收缩形,焊接过程向直流正极性靠近,满足阴极清理的基本要求,减少钨极烧损,灵活地控制焊缝成形,从而获得良好的焊接结果。Abstract: The factors which affect the cleaning action and electrode loss in TIG welding of aluminium alloys using variable palarity power are studied.The process experiment shows that because more welding parameters can be adjusted,the arc shape can be efficiently controlled. By increasing the current value and shortening the time of half cycle in wihch the tungsten polarity is positive, we can change the arc shape from diffusion to focus,and make welding process close to DCEN welding. In this condition,the basic requirement of the cleaning actiou is satisfied,and the loss of tungsten is reduced.By flexibly controlling the weld formation, we can get a satisfied result.
