Abstract:
Welding deformations of a pipe-plate joint with holes after multi-pass welding are simulated using the thermal-elastic-plastic finite element method.The shrinkages of the joint and deformations of eight holes which are in the plate around the center of pipe are analyzedunder different models and welding conditions.Half-circle model and full-circle model,fixed heat source and moving heat source,single pass and multi-pass welding are used for comparison.The calculated results provide a lot of informations which are very useful for predicting the effects of various welding conditions on residual doformations and controlling thehigh accuracy of the pipe-plate joint.
