Development of variable polarity welding power source for Al alloy TIG welding

  • 摘要: 本文介绍一种铝合金TIG焊用变极性电源,电源由晶体管可控恒流电源和H桥式IGBT管逆变器两大部分组成。电源正负半波的电流幅值和时间均可任意调节。采用特殊设计的模拟式晶体管电源,晶体管组所需功率仅为常规方法的1/3。电源空载电压仅为40V,但在焊接过程中无需外加稳弧脉冲,特别是在小电流时仍能保证焊接过程稳定。

     

    Abstract: A new type of variable polarity welding power source applied to Al alloy TIG welding has been introduced in this paper. The power source mainly consists of a constant current-controlled transistor and a IGBT H bridge inverter.The amplitudes and durations in both positive and reverse cycles can be adjusted as operators' wish.The pwoer capacity of the transistor set needed in this new power supply is only a third as much as that of the conventional process since the special design and structure are used. The open circuit voltage is only 40 volts, but no pulsed arc stabilizer is needed and the welding process still stable, especially in low welding current.
