Abstract: This paper describes the results of the initial deliberation on distributive law released for residual stress by x-ray determination.The tests were carried out on a long thick plate,butt welaed in multi-layer,finally flame cut.The results obtained indicate that the release of residual stress parallel to the weld is much larger than that perpeendicular to the weld,the flame cut and plate dimension have important influence for complicated and nusual distribution of the residual stress present and the maximum tensile flameres value in the parallel direction is 268 MPa,where in the perpendicular directionis 213 MPa.
